Connecting Garafiri Bauxite Mine to Port Konta in Guinea, this new 190km haul road will serve as a key infrastructure support element to achieve the export of over 8 million tonnes of bauxite per year once operating at full capacity.
With several river crossings, a wet tropical climate, heavily loaded trucks and a high rate of traffic, the design of the haul road is integral to the efficient operation of the SBG Bauxite mine in Guinea.
